One day, I have hacked on my PSP entertainment system (Yes, the full name is a must.) and I decided to put in a GBA emulator in it, which would allow me to play-you guessed it-GBA games! Unfortunately, I knew none at the time, so I went to a online catalog for a game. To my suprise, I found a peculiar game called "Bobobo Bakuten Hajike Taisen." I thought to myself: "WTF?!" Being the kind of person to not judge another, I downloaded this game.

Basically, "Bobobo Bakuten Hajike Taisen." is a Japanease-fighting game based of the hit anime: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. The rules are simple: Pick a fighter, choose a stage, choose your costume and finishing moves, and fight 'till you're the last man standing. The game has a total of 13 characters from the anime. (In order: Bobobo, Don Patchi, Gasser, Softon, Jelly Jiggler, Dengaku Man, Torpedo Girl, Hatenko, Captain Battleship, Over, Halekulani, Service-Man, and Denbo.)

The buttons aren't mysterious either. The "B" button is for light damage, "A" for heavy hitting, "R" to block, "L" for special fusion (Explanation later), Up to jump, and Left and Right for-wait for it-Left and Right!

Everyone in this game has their own unique finishers, each that deals equal damage. Though same in power, all are either wacky or cool to look at. (For example: Don Patchi somehow transorms into a robot and slashes you up, and Softon calls forth a Babylon God for punishment.) Other than these, everyone has their own combos to utilize in battle.

The enviorement might look pretty, but each stage has some type of hazard to kill you. (Spikes, boulders, cannons, you name it!) So no stage is ever safe from death.

Another major feature in this game is the fusion abilities I mentioned earlier. Before a match, you equip a card with a picture of your fighter and another, then when you get in the match, press "L" to call in your partner and combine your special abilities to dominate against your opponent. (Can only be used once, and with certain characters only.)

Finally, after every match, your remaining health will determine your income, and that money allows you to buy cards. Why cards, you ask? Cards allow you to get fighters, abilities, and mini-games you play. (From lottery to a Bobobo version of "Bomber-Man".) And if you get all cards in a set, you get a colorful picture!

So that's all there is to the game, I guess. I personally give it a 8 out of 10 since the matches tend to be quick and not much is to be done after finishing everything. I recommend you play this when you get a chance. (Download it, since this game was sold only in Japan.)
